Here's my latest story about 50% price var....

On Monday, MIDL closed at .59375 Web Street showed close of .0152 (?)
NETZ closed at .50 Web Street showed close of 1.28

So, for MIDL you could enter a price only from .0076 to .0228
for NETZ you could enter a price only from .64 to 1.92

After several EMails back and forth, I received the following from customer service:

<"You should check a printed article for the exact price of the close. The prices you receive are provided to us by the Exchanges via our market data vendor. Neither Web Street Securities nor our market data vendor, nor the Exchanges make any representations as to the accuracy or timeliness of the quotes.
Sincerely,
Customer Service">

This completely misses the point of my complaint..that it was impossible to enter orders for the stocks. I knew the damn price! By the way, the same problem occurred with a another stock the day before and some how it was corrected after I reported it - maybe just a coincidence.

In another message I got the following:

<" It is a problem because NETZ is a penny stock and we get the wrong quote from PC Quote. If you want to see the correct amount in your Positions screen use the "Current Price" instead of the "Closing price". It will show you the right amount.">

Again, completely missing the point. And this time it is PC Quote's "fault" just as the 50% price variance has been blamed on US Clearing.
I didn't care how the wrong price got there, I was only trying to get it corrected.

Talk about frustration....
