Porter:

An even more interesting article appeared on page B27 entitled "How the TSE got its Year 2000 wires crossed".

At the end of the article Fleming admits that moral among the systems staff at the TSE is so bad that they have offered some bonuses of up to 125 per cent of their annual salary to stick around! The bonuses are payable in early 2000. What happens after they are paid? Is there going to be anybody left there?

Reminds me of one disastrous systems project which I worked on 20 years ago. Things got so bad management offered everyone double time, then triple time, until the money didn't mean anything and people started leaving anyway. The project was then abandoned.

Hope this does happen at the TSE.

Dave

Hey, Porter:

What's happening with that Ballard Power. You finally got it under control? I see the stock has made a pennant shape, is that bullish or bearish.
