Does FAMH's reselling of its offshore insurance require their registration as an insurer, and thus subject FAMH to all of the loss reserve requirements that any other insurer might be required to maintain?? (these reserve requirements are pretty restrictive to cash which would otherwise be available for investment, etc.) Not only that, but the State of New York is known to be the MOST RESTRICTIVE state in the country with regard to insurance regululatory policies and procedures. You will notice that many of the country's top tier insuraance companies don't do business in New York!!! Mel
