I tried to look up the criteria but they didn't display it. The table displayed showed "Highest Return to Investors, 10 Year" so the question arises, was Dell a public company in 1987? At any rate, for the other tables showing 'Highest Returns on Assets' and 'Highest Return to Investors, 1 year', Dell was on those lists. For curiosity, I also checked the 100 month charts on SI and they show Dell as the leader against the ones I checked.

So, since I was unable to find out by digging around, I resorted to an email to the publisher asking the question. Heaven only knows when I'll get an answer though, but will share it when and if I do.
