That's along the lines of my last question to Ibexx but no answer. I was wondering if the adr's are as volatile as the Dax shares. Not only arbitrage but for daytrading. But I don't day trade, I'm only a part timer.<:(

Ning, I believe the SAPHY price does fluctuate through the day, though the spread is wider than for stocks listed on the larger exchanges; and the relationship with the SAG3 price difficult to discern during the day. As I have mentioned before I do not think this is one for day trading because of the lack of transparency at this time. Also, the actual number of ADRs is in flux depending on demand in Frankfurt (the dog), London and in the US (the tail).

There is a SAPHY chart at:
cbs.marketwatch.com

(enter SAPHY-BB for symbol and follow directions to charts; for some reason would not accept the address for the chart link)
though it is not suitable for acute analysis,

Hope this helps. Regards
