Mike, My feeling is similar to yours. I believe the CPAs and accounting Ph.Ds at IBM probably know more tricks than I do. However, I can still tell a trick when I see one. Capitalizing expenses is especially accretive to nominal eps during a time of low interest rates.

IBM's reporting is similar to the statement, "taste this and see if it has gone bad." No, thank you. -g-
