Leman, Sorry for my delay..... I'm suffering from " information overload " Elan's takeover of NXCO valued at $ 700 million should not affect our tiny company called Trinity Biotech since Elan plc reached " critical mass" several years ago and now has a market cap of over $ 7 billion. Interesting that Elan was started by an American who became an Irish citizen ( lucky dude ) Diametrics (DMED ) diametrics.com has some very interesting technology and that application ( bed-side blood analyzers ) has become very competitive. i-Stat ( STAT ) istat.com has some very nice equipment also for measuring acid-base balance at the bedside I also was very fortunate to speak with the CEO of Empryrean Diagnostics in Phoenix, Arizona today. He feels Trinity Biotech has an excellent management staff and they just now are becoming very aggressive with HIV sales in Eastern Europe ( the former Soviet Union ) He speaks very highly of Dr. Jim Walsh , Trinity COO. ps.....Elan has recently taken a position in Combi-Chem which will soon be going public.
