super sport,

guess i am a bit dense because i don't understand how i am being screwed. even worse, i am bewildered by the notion that a commission of 40 will systematically get me better executions. where do i go to get such savings.

my orders ar always at the market - either i want the stock or i don't. so who would be giving me an inside-the-spread price? it is immediacy of execution that is more important.

in the last 6 months i have gotten only one execution that was disappointing. but, my timing was worth enough to overcome the higher price.

can you better explain just how i am being screwed?

bewildered

super sport,

i have been doing some more research and am slowly beginning to see the daylight.

it looks like there is at least one better discount broker.

datek.com

was mentioned in a forbes article and they do withstand scrutiny. i plan to look into cost and time of switching. i don't like the blackout periods during these switches!
