The P&MP is (was) a short line railroad, now defunct, which traversed the 49 miles between the N E Texas towns of Paris and Mount Pleasant, for which it was named. This short line was one of many short lines in the nation, most of which have joined it and may they rest in peace. The railroad, as memory serves me, had two locomotives, one of which was ol # 49 and I have a picture of it on the last day of operation when it was shut down. Perhaps this MIGHT not be the PMP you inquired about, if not, I feel that someone else will oblige, and if not, I'll tell you but I didn't want to overload you this early in the morning, what with the market going up some and you being a put gal.......
