He spent most of the 1980's editorializing how Intel's arcane x86 architecture was going to be buried by the onslaught of superior RISC processors...and Intel was headed for computer oblivion. Now he continues to bad mouth Intel while his little MDR survives buy selling "Intel Technology Roadmaps" to the competition. Slater is a frustrated ex-circuit designer from HP that never got a chip into production. He'll never pass on an opportunity to offer backhanded derogatory remarks about Intel. Paul
