- TCP/IP stack
A little buggy and insecure, but I really don't notice it.
I'll take it though.
- Dial-up networking
I don't use it.
- File management
I don't use it, and don't like it.
- Disk backup / management
These tools are pretty poor. I rarely use them.
- Network administration
I don't use it.
- Messaging services
I'm not sure what you mean by these.
- Browser
I don't use it, or want it from them. I may be wrong though, because if it was removed from the OS my system would no longer function. Therefore, I must be using it :)

All of these things that I don't want are still taking up room on my hard drive and slowing down my system. I paid for them, and I can't get rid of them. Also they hurt other companies because I am a lot more reluctant to go out and buy the software that I want when I already paid for a poorer quality version that may get the job done in a pinch.

No it isn't. That's the definition of a company improving its product, which it has every right to do. It in no way limits or prevents any other company's ability to do business

YES it does. You admitted as much becasue they will not allow other companies access to the APIs necessary to integrate the browser with the OS. You said so. That is a limitation.

That limitation prevents competition.
