Craig,

<<<Maybe I'll get a 4 or 8-port MKII Lite with a bunch of Fast Ethernet ports after all. <g>>>>

I want 2 MKII regular and 2 MKII heavy to interconnect all my mainframes and mainframe FC channels/storage devices. I want alternate paths from any of my mainframes to any of my storage devices so that if one channel is blocked for whatever reason other than failed storage devices, I can still access my data without suffering any performance and data integrity problem. Would Amdahl interested in something like that besides IBM, EDS?

KJ

<<Yes, that's my recollection as well. No plans for hubs, but switch scalability in BOTH directions.>>

FWIW, I heard the same regarding hubs but I heard Ancor "may do something" in smaller switches. The word 'may' is a non-committal word in my book.
