Trey,

I mixed up the info in my previous msg. It is US West who is being stoped with their ADSL early deployment, not GTE ILEC. And only in Oregon market .

But still one might speculate that with FEDS ataking MSFT and INTL for their monopoly like practices many PUCs might adopt the same approach to RBOCs and GTE, especially if ISPs will complain, don't you think??

vladimir--

if you are talking about more regulatory delays it will hit PAIR and others just as hard. PAIR just feels wrong to me. i know it sounds silly, but it just doesnt look good. the sell off in ORCTF ( no, i am not going to say it...) was predictable. the stock is up from like 16-17 in advance of the news, afterwards was the pop up and now we are completing profit taking. besides, the contract was not as good for ORCTF as was anticipated. fujitsu gets the lionshare of the contract.

as a side note, we are getting close to the time when the FCC sets up national guidelines regarding telecom and PUC regulation. building out the infrastructure is going to require a common regulatory environment across the country. we do nto have that right now, and having to file all these dumb papers with the PUCs nationwide is a wasteful enterprise. sure i am all for local control, but only when it makes sense. in this case it doesnt make sense to concentrate that much power at the local level.

good luck to all,
trey
