I think that was a joke about taking the oil fields. Maybe they should have raped and pillaged while they were there also according to your feelings. Again, not sure if you are serious or not, if you are not serious I apologize for taking it out of context, but if you are that's not funny.

According to what I have heard, the cost of having one aircraft carrier in the Gulf is $1 billion a day. Two or three is ridiculously expensive. I would agree with the general who said it costs $100 a barrel because the real cost is definitely not $15-$16. Defending the oil is an agenda that may or may not be necessary, but it certainly is costing a lot of money.
