National Public Radio today featured a retrospective on the Love Canal and the costs of toxic cleanup. It pointed out that one of the lingering effects is heightened public awareness around environmental issues and enormous public intolerance for any kind of hazardous waste or environmental threat in their neighborhood.

An indirect support for the alternative disposal systems. Once alternatives are clearly available, few will sit still for having incinerators anywhere close.

On the other hand, there is a lot of money out there for cleaning up toxic wastes.

Look at the intraday chart. Tokyo posted 11:13 am. Stock rose to 4.875. He says he bought 10k shares. He got his crowd to buy in and then they sold at that point, is my guess. TMex would have made $3750, not bad, and my guess is he and his are already gone. JMHO
