I have to agree with you, while I also agree with the concept that posters are providing the content which draws the eyeballs to this site, the lifetime membership promise wasn't made with any strings attached. It would be nice to find a way to encourage readers to become posters as well, even those who feel they can't provide substance can often provide thought provoking questions. I have once or twice, posted what I thought was a simple question or comment, only to see the resulting discussion take off in a direction which I didn't anticipate, but seemed to provide value to someone. Even just providing a link to an interesting site or article is a contribution.

On the majority of threads most of the respondents have valuable information to dispense. Occasionally there are spitting matches or hypes but if you have ever read the messages on Yahoo you will appreciate the wisdom that is imparted on these threads. I think I would rate myself as a consumate lurker. regards daverose
