Disney Plans To Go Head To Head With AOL

wired.com

In addition, the Bloomberg report of same thing quotes Eisner:

Eisner said Disney plans no more major acquisitions.
''We are not buying AOL,'' he said. Disney already has what
its needs to compete against America Online Inc., the world's
largest online service, said Eisner.
He said mergers today are taking place at dangerously high
valuations.
''You're paying a 30 percent premium for something that's
already overpriced by 30 percent anyway, so most acquisitions
fail,'' Eisner said.

Let's see. AOL jumps $3.5 on 'new' Merrill coverage by same analyst
who until three weeks aho was at UBS and rated AOL 'strong buy';
and totally ignores Disney's announcement..............
