I think of Cymer as a manufacturer, (i.e.auto) and DuPont as a supplier (i.e.tires). Mfg has one time sale of equipment and supplier as recurring sales of the supplies. And the harder and faster you drive, the more tires you wear out (read stronger light source). Bigger immediate gains may be seen in the high dollar sales of the manufacturer (read higher stock price jump) but over time the supplier has the more steady sales base (altho more competition). I guess it will be up to the investor to pick his investing mode.
