>>>but I am expecting and hoping CKFR to become the sole processor for Microsoft Money in the future! Somebody please tell me I am crazy.

Well Cymeed as I understand it you wish is already true...CheckFree processes for Money.....but I think MSFDC will be their prefered link in the future.

But nothing is that clear cut, either or. CheckFree or MSFDC.

I see transactions running into and out of both systems depending on the Biller, Bank, PFM, and Consumer.

But for the time being MicroSoft can't even support their own software Money....let alone process Bills for Billers and present them to a Consumer.

Whereas Intuit with the help of CheckFree can do the entire round trip, which MicroSoft hopes to one day be able to do.

MicroSoft hasn't had a lot of luck going head to head with Intuit...and Intuit was smart enough to devote their resources towards building a massive WebTop[Quicken.Com] around the success of the Best Selling PFM DeskTop[Quicken]. Passing the responsibilities of the processing engine to CheckFree by unloading ISC.

One of those Classic Divide and Conquer Stories....Even Intuit haters have to appreciate using individual company strengths to achieve a common goal was brilliant by both management teams.

ie...no Wheel re-inventing was needed here..just get in to market on time on schedule and within budget.

The only thing which would have been more brilliant would be for MicroSoft to be sitting in Intuits shoes.....but from what I understand they are better at copying then innovating.
