mdix, as i understand it, is attempting to move into internet related medical? this comes from the recent announcement about selling the remainder of their staffing svcs to banyan.

from yahoo news <snip>

John P. Yeros, chairman of the company, stated, ''While the company's core business in supplemental staffing has largely contributed to the growth of Medix, we are confident that at this time the disposition of these assets is in the best interest of the company and its shareholders. The company's acquisition of Cymedix Corporation and its proprietary Cymedix Lynx, a unique Internet-based medical software product, has positioned us to take advantage of the growth opportunities in the medical information and Internet commerce marketplaces....''

i found the following story from msnbc this morning which speaks directly to the possibilities for such technology.

"Consumers looking for health online
43 percent of Net users have looked for medical information
April 28 - As the government rolls out its updated guide to health information on the Internet, new polling suggests consumers are turning increasingly to cyberspace for guidance about health and medicine."

full story can be viewed at the following link:

msnbc.com

although MDIX is not mentioned in the story, i thought some might find the connection stimulating. :) hopefully this phenomenon will continue to grow and MDIX will be in a position to take advantage of that.

good luck everyone, jl
