I am sorry, I thought a while back you had mentioned about buying VIAS. I must be mistaken.
Thankyou
Robert

*AV*-- First, you are correct John, I meant saltpeter.<GG>

This post is not meant as a peptalk (pep message to be exact) but it looks like Hyundai might be taking a few swords out of their backs and bellies relative to the Asian Crisis and showing very slight signs of recovery. It is also a nice little piece of good news for TER investors.

Teradyne Receives $20M Tester Order from Hyundai for Oregon Fab

BOSTON, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER - news)
announced today that Hyundai Semiconductor America (HSA) has placed an
order for multiple memory test systems valued at more than $20
million. The Marlin-platform memory testers will be shipped to
Hyundai's plant in Eugene, Oregon, for production test of 64M SDRAMs.
Deliveries will begin the third quarter of this year, said Tom
Felding, Teradyne vice president and Gereral Manager of the Memory
Test Division.

''Hyundai recognizes Teradyne's technological leadership in memory
testing,'' said the Hyundai Test Manager at the Oregon facility. ''The
Marlin provides the highest productivity by testing 64 devices in
parallel. In addition, its RA/Plus Redundancy Analyzer delivers the
highest yields.'' Teradyne's proven worldwide support was a factor in
the selection, he said. Hyundai has installed multiple Teradyne J990
Series RAM test systems and Pegasus non-volatile memory test systems
in its Research and Development facility in Ichon, Korea. J990 Series
systems were also installed last year in the Oregon plant.

Approximately 550 of Teradyne's J990 Series and Marlin test systems have been shipped to customers around the world. Teradyne also supplies the ARIES test platform for high-performance RAMs and the Genesis and Pegasus non-volatile memory test systems.

Teradyne, Inc. is a leading supplier of automatic test equipment (ATE) and backplane connection systems to manufacturers of electronics worldwide. Sales in the first quarter of 1998 were approximately $432 million. Teradyne's site on the World Wide Web is at www.teradyne.com.
