RE: China & Au linkage...4 yrs ago I posted HK$ was fully backed by gold THEN...it only makes sense that when they were "re-absorbed" by the mainland, the gold went with'em! Plus...they are getting ready to deval again...and are probably timing the blast reverb into the rest of the Pacific Rim economies with their gold accumulation strategies. They are not dumb people. Chinese need oil, probably more than we do, in order to modernize their vast resource mobilizations, both mobility of people as well as mechanization of E&D processes. O/49r
