Larry,, Jack Raines on the Prodigy INTC thread, as you may remember, is a strong supporter of this 5 day period. In fact, I was weighing that fact, trying to decide on MU's direction.
I think that I did study it once for MU, but after a while, you have so many facts, you start forgetting some. I think that I will check tonight, and post back to you.

Larry, I finished my study on MU at the end of the month, as it may
relate to income of funds and impact on MU prices. I checked back
to the first of 1995 (actually the last day of 94).
I also included if the stock was in a downward trend (1), and upward
trend (2), or couldn't tell (0) I converted all numbers to percentages,
then averaged it at the bottom of the columns.

If these averages were applied to today's close of 30 7/16, the
high for the next five days would be as follows:
May 1998 0 $31.18 $32.22 $31.84 $31.93 $31.97
Tried to edit the columns for the averages, and it won't move, so
it is off one column.

Larry, remember your question about seasonality, a week ago, and that stocks gained 5% during 5 days each month around the first?
I then studied MU during the last day of the month, and the first 4 days of the month. It indicated that on the 4th day of the month, MU
averaged an increase also of 5% over this 5 day period.
Well, MU closed at 30.44 on 4-29. 30.44x1.05=31.96. and MU passed it today.
I guess that we have to include this factor into future computations.
