Great thread. Two guaranteed harbingers of doom in biotech

1) S-3 filings of "selling securityholders" in which stock is laundered (no better word for it) from one group of owners to a new set of retail hands. That's how one usually ends up with your criteria for a zealous message board following. Sources for these ideas - Buyside magazine, NationsBank Montgomery Securities, BA Robertson Stephens, etc. Where there's stock to be sold or a deal to be made, these guys rarely miss an opportunity to put out "strong buys."

2) Reg D or S deals in which an in the money warrant is given to subscribers. The stock many times has a way of gravitating to the price of the warrant. Amazing how that happens
