No problem, I did not take that as a snide remark at all. It was just a comment. FYI, what makes solar storms a problem for low earth orbits is that it energizes the earth's magnetic fields and creates drag -- not much, but it deteriorates the orbit enough that it shortens the satellite lifetime. It is good in some respects, in that these flares tend to clean out some of the junk that is up there. Not really a concern for Orbcomm orbits, though, they are too high for that.
