I hate selling off a company which I had planned to hold for a longer term, but I didn't like the earnings surprise, even with the explanation about the unforeseen rig inspections. I've got to believe earnings will be revised further downward or that MDCO will miss again this Q. And the new rig acquisition may be a great long term move (thanks for the info Big Dog), but it won't be mobilized until 1999. I'll be looking to roll the proceeds into something else. I still feel the best story is with the fabs and equipment suppliers. Maybe PDE, although I don't know what it will take to move that stock.
