On mindless speculation #4: If DVD had been as much of a success on the consumer side as had been predicted in 1996 and 1997 LSI would be garnering something in the order of 100-150 million in revenues this year from DVD (instead of perhaps 30-60 million). Because of all the in-fighting we are about 1-1 1/2 years behind schedule from a revenue point of view. But the oil-wells they will be gushing... :-) ---- Shane (with thanks to poster-in-hiding)
