Neal:

Thank you for reminding me in this debacle that hope springs eternal. Between the LU switch deal, BA rollout, and the Networld conference, a lot of positives are in the works.

Neal: BellSouth has 6.5 million lines terminating on a 5ESS, SLC-5 or SLC-2000 unit. It seems 3COM wants to work with every solution in the Central Office. I read your post on the Aware thread... you are right on the mark. Lucent-Microelectronics doesn't need to work with Westell. Westell isn't writing the DMT code for their DSP. Westell is working with Lucent-Network-Systems for the CO/RT solutions. Lucent will-be/is selling the Westell end-to-end ATM DSLAM solution... until later.
