Crystal Systems Solutions (CRYSF) blew away most analysts first-quarter earnings estimates, posting a profit of 17 cents per diluted share. The consensus expectation on Wall Street was 13 cents. Crystal said after the market closed that sales at the Year 2000 conversion specialist jumped 144 percent to $8.7 million. The Israeli company said last week that it expanded its contract with Ford Motor Co. (F). Ahead of the release, Crystal Systems stock dipped 5/16 to 17 13/16.<<
