Re: <<have gone long on CPQ>>

Funny. I went short on CPQ this week, at 28. Unfortunately, it was just minutes before the buy-back announcement, which sent it roaring to 29 and change. But today it closed at 27 1/2, so I am in the profit column. I am a nervous short, as any number of things including finalization of the DEC merger could send the stock price upward, but relative strength is lousy, for reasons that are hard to figure out. If the CPQ does not show some strength in the next couple of days, watch out below!

Also, went long NN yesterday at 26 3/4. Am playing the Interop seasonal, as well as the month-end seasonal -- I may be out by Tuesday. Also, I like to go into stocks that have been oversold on (hopefully) temporary disappointments.

Charlie.

please see my post 4305.....I went very long on CPQ..due only to technical analysis ...will be up 2-4 dollars today. I'm not blowing my own horn , but my shorting of NN was BASED on T.A.

NN needs desperately to break 30.25 for the longs to be able to motor ahead.

Good luck to the longs

Michael
