In previous posts I have mentioned I don't like ALYD's practice of recognizing revenue using % completion. However, others including a CPA have pointed out this is OK. I am old fashion. I belong to the school in which you recognizew revenue when you reach milestones and bill the client. Revenues are composed of cash payments during the period plus the net increase in receivables. The ALYD contract indicates they get a large chunk payment up-front but form their cash account at the end of 97 this did seem to be the case. I don't know if ALYD is a stock to short but I still hold a short position.
