That was a surprisingly weak article. I thought the TSC would have premium information.

"He basically said we're going to keep market share in a dying
business," laughs one investor.

Besides being poor writing, that's poor reporting. What did Cramer expect NN to do? Cut off customers who are providing 90% of sales for ATM?

Another pro shies away from Newbridge. "To jump in with that much exposure is kind of risky," says analyst John Golden with John Hancock Funds. He isn't invested in Newbridge, although he likes its new ATM gear.

Tell you what, Mr. Golden, you buy a 36170 as a collector's item and I'll buy the stock.

What sort of journalist quotes such mindless comments, anyway?

Golden adds that another threat is the severe competition from Ascend (ASND:Nasdaq), whose frame relay ATM boxes are winning lots of contracts with phone carriers.

Frame Relay ATM is not NN's primary market --- backbone ATM is. Perhaps Ascend should be afraid of losing market share as they're the leaders in that slot.

Articles like this discredit TSC. There's a big difference between wit and ignorance. And when one's used to cover up the other, it usually backfires.

Cramer, take that writer and stuff him or her down a sump hole. You'll be a lot better off.

Later --
