Insurance coverage: Front page NY Times this am 04/29.98.
Reported on 6:30 pm (EST) CBS News - Dan Rather.
" : " " NBC News - Tom Brokaw.

25% gustimate on percentage of Viagra faailures to try the next acceptable, FDA approved product. I assume 75% Viagra failures will not go forward, they will be fatalistic. Balance will have been drawn to possible relief, alone or with significant other's push/nagging/pleading/entreaty.

Note: My percentage of Muse tryers from Viagra failures (and there will be Viagra failures), is arbitrary on my part!!! Could be more, could be less.

My percentage of Viagra failures is based on most of the previous posts from February '98 till now.

Cutting me a little slack with the numbers, i.e. 200,000 new "patients" would give Vivus approximately 15,000 presrcptions per week... triple the amount just before Viagra Debut.

I really believe the "new Patient" count will exceed 350,000 in the first 60 days of Viagra availability, especially given the massive TV & Print exposure now occuring. So, I believe that all of my favorable assumptions on the side of increased Muse usage are Conservative.
