Alex - what sort of "medicinal chemist" are you ?

<<<If we accept that the active ingredient of Vasomax is phentolamine, and if we further accept that a glassful of predissolved drug is as fast as or faster than a tablet,
we have a way to do "informal trials" of the concept driving Vasomax.>>>

Wow!! perhaps you can gain an "informal" FDA approval??

For all practical purposes, oral phentolamine is not available as a prescription medication in the U.S.

Regitine *is* available in vials containing 5 mg and 25 mg lyophilized phentolamine mesylate + mannitol.

It's from Ciba, and comes in a pack of two 5 mg vials--the wholesale price according to 1997 Mosby's was $58.53.

If it's good enough to inject, it's good enough to drink.

Does anyone know what dose(s) are being proposed for Vasomax?

Are you suggesting Alex that maybe there is another active ingredient?
