Chris,
I work in the computer industry and in some ways we directly compete with Dell and Compaq. I'm here to tell anyone who cares that once DEC is absorbed and CPQ starts to benefit from being a total solutions provider, the services growth for the combined companies will be what everyone is talking about. It's almost a third of our total business at around $2 Billion/yr. Small change when you compare us to the volume and number of servers CPQ/DEC gets to write extended contracts for in the coming years. This stock has POTENTIAL written all over it, the key here is execution. I'm betting a lot of money they can do it.
