TLindt, My Take FWIW...

Like all perennial laggards (like SEEK, in fact),
I would prefer to just muddle along as we are.

That's my vote. Cats & Dogs is something I look
at just to see if anybody's getting real or realer.
I think of it as the farm team... although, I know,
there are some bright lights there. Big names and
big winners.

However, the main event remains for me the
base portfolio. I think there's a good, interesting
mix there. And as the storms hit... which... well,
I won't go there... I'll be watching for buying
opportunities.

BTW, inside of three weeks at the latest, and just for this portfolio's
sake, I'd sell all of SEEK. (That won't be my play as an
individual investor... but I've got a different set
of structural tolerances... and enough information
to hold LONG TERM. But, for portfolio management
purposes, I think SEEK will need to cleared out. If
I'm wrong, I'm wrong. We'll see.)

Enough for my opinions...

Best Regards,

c m

Hi all. I've been out there lurking on you guys. This is one of the best threads on Silicon Investor IMO! Let's keep up the good work.

Regarding the cats and dogs port, it should be listed in the main message if one major modification could be made. Right now, it is too speculative. There should be voting power similar to the main port. It's too easy for stocks to be added/deleted and this makes it less important to me to keep track of. Also, do we really want to get involved in penny stocks (ok 2 modifications). I know that some of you do, but the internet stocks are volatile enough without adding penny stock volatility. I don't know about you guys, but my personal daily port fluctuates by about 3% already with about 9 internet stocks in it. That's plenty of volatility for me (more than I really should allow, actually).

Investments are supposed to be thought out and added to ports after at least some DD.

Ok, well these are my thoughts. Pls feel free to disagree with me if you like. I do like this thread though.
