Hello everybody!

I'm not that great in writing code for mswin and try to write something but it doesn't work. Maybe someone could help?
I'm looking for stocks that made a 3month high a few weeks ago and then pulled back for 10-15% and now try to make a new high. That's the problem. To get more stocks i don't want the high to be on one day but over a period of days(like 10) four weeks back.I tried to write it like (DON'T LAUGH!!):

Ref(Alert(HHV(C,100),12),-15)

I thought of looking for the HHV of the close for the last 100 days over a period of 12 days 15 days in the past. But when i run this through my database i get no hits. Since the market was making new high during the time period I'm looking at i assume that something must be wrong with my formula.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Stefan

Thanks for the info. Sorry to be so long responding, I've been fighting computer problems. Metastock crashed on me and I'm just now getting everything back up and running. I tried the formula right before the crash and it looked like it was going to work fine -- but I'll look at it more closely when I get done with my configuration changes. I'm about to upgrade to NT and add two more monitors. I think I'm going to suscribe to StockEdge (DBC) for realtime quotes with NASDAQ level II screens. I need monitor real estate to do so. Of course in order to upgrade to NT and continue running my other software, I have to either partition my hard drive or add another hard drive. I figure as cheap as disk space is these days, I'll go with the hard drive. Where does it END????
