>>>What do you think of Pete Kight's response to my question on Sequential subscriber growth? I thought he was defensive on that point.

I thought he answered you twice fairly and honestly...the larger banks had not built their systems for the initial demand that they encountered, and were in the process of shifting gears into larger systems..

Seemed pretty clear to me...but of course I'm Stupid.

>>>What do you think of Pete Kight's response to my question on Sequential subscriber growth? I thought he was defensive on that point. I shared my view with couple of analysts and they also said that they would like to see more subscriber growth before upgrading it.

First, thanks for your comments. I wouldn't call Pete defensive, I just think he was trying to relay the relative importance, (or unimportance) of current growth compared to future growth. The current subscriber growth is without Banks Marketing and full fledged Online-Banking. IMO the current growth is insignificant, what is important is the position CheckFree is in when the market Explodes (and it will Explode, Microsoft knows it, Oracle knows it, and I know it). There will always be analysts that won't upgrade until after the bill payment/presentment market explodes, and at that point the stock will have already soared.

<I thought he was defensive> I thought he was quite the opposite, quite aggressive. 20 of 25 largest banks planning promotions. 12% quarterly growth among smaller banks. He made a great case that customers will soon resume coming on line in droves.

<they would like to see more subscriber growth before upgrading it.>

Upgrade by whom, to what? Present breakdown is 7 strong buys, 2 buys, and only Crafty with a "hold."

Sorry I came off so hard....but I have been tracking this company since December of 1996...and have formed some strong opinions.

How long have you been on it, and what do you see going forward into say...2004.

>>>More subscriber growth before an upgrade<<<

8% ain't too shabby considering the "Big Ten" were virtual no shows this last Q. What would it have been, or will it be next Q? Sky's the limit. Next two Q's should be Mothers.
