DAMA = Demand Assigned Multiple Access

It's usually an automated communications channel sharing
scheme which allows a pool of users to efficiently:

1. Request access to a shared pool of channels
2. Be queued in order of their request
3. Make their call
4. Then smoothly pass the channel to next user

Net result is efficient sharing of available communications
channels among a set of users much larger than the number of channels;

[As opposed to dedication of only a single user to a single channel full time; in which case that channel resource sits idle when the dedicated user happens not to be using it ]

Hope this helps--
