>>> Can you tell me where I can get level 2 quotes and at what price.

dbc.com (Signal and StockEdge) is pretty useless.

AT Financial is really great - I recommend you go to www.elitetrader.com and select "Data Vendors" - I just saw a special offer for AT (real cheap!).

I like AT because it has great charts and it has a level II format that shows color coded trades streaming in the same window.

I'm using AT until my new MB Trading (www.mbtrading.com) account starts on May 1st - MB provides Level II free - not even any exchange fees - if you do 50 trades/month. Or $100 if you do 20 trades/month.

But the AT stuff is really good... you can get a 2 week trial for $25.

I, like jawd, use AT Financial. The have a package "minor attitude", which gives you level 2 but not time of sales for only ~$150 a month. If you add TOS (plus bells and whistles) it will run you $300 a month. If you go with AT financial, you may also want to use MCI as your ISP. I have had very little problem with the data.

Another possibility is SP Comstock, also for around $300 a month. Avoid at all cost PC Quote - they have no customer service at all (even worse than DATEK) and the data feed is very unreliable.

Note that level 2 is only really useful if you do a lot of short-term trading. SO if you cannot sit and watch it for hours on end, it may not be worth it for you.

As far as stop loss, you can do it with DATEK for Naz stock (not listed stocks), but I have never done it - to easy for the MM to rip you off. I use mental stops, but then again, I can watch to see what how my position is doing.
