But Flash, word spreads! Wherever Sid goes, word will follow about what he did. For example, I have a former girlfriend who was born and raised within an influential Colombian family. The family business involves the media, and not on a small scale. Hello!? I've even met her mother. This is a very, very nice Colombian family, connected in America too. To date, I've only, in passing--not extensively at all--described TRGC. And that was when things were prospective, positive and we were having our best hopes about a Colombian oil/gas concession near Cali. She was happy I made this investment. Some day real soon she's gonna hear THE WHOLE STORY from my vantage point. I was hoping when next we meet to describe good news about TRGC, and that I'd be pleased I'd found something meaningful to share with her about Colombia. But, unless something positive happens in the immediate or soon-to-be timeframe regarding consolidation of Trinicol and TRGC-USA, she will only hear about the present state we're in, the losses I've come to bear--the loss of my house; other people's pain too. It's springtime--we both live nearby in Cambridge, Mass.--she came here originally to attend university--I expect to see her soon. I always do when weather is nice. She'll still be evermore beautiful. In fact, her smile would even make Sid break down and consolidate the two companies. But it seems what I'll have to explain to her about TRGC's role in Colombia will be disappointing. Also, her family--as firmly media-connected as any in the nation of Colombia--will spread the word. Indeed, word will travel. Unless a rip-off is proven not to be the case. And this won't be limited to Colombian cocktail party circles. Word will spread throughout the Colombian court system as well. Heck, I'm a folksinger--I guarantee there's a song now in the wind. It could be something like Jamie Brockett's song, "The Sinking of The Titanic" (about 25 minutes long), sung in bar rooms and coffee houses far and wide. It will be a given that anyone who discovers what happened--the current state prevailing--will know how innocent people who invested in this Colombian venture got screwed. All fingers will point to one man, no matter what the defense. And good folk there, and good folk here will speak of honor. They'll be a version very close to the truth, and one very, very far away from it. When honor and greed meet--I don't care what circumstances--in the end, honor wins. This is why people sacrifice on behalf of their god, they'll sacrifice on behalf of their family and, of course, their country. Sid, you've been a Christian missionary. You should know that even among street people and young runaway orphans there is a code of honor. Do you? Do we? I, personally, hold a reasonable account of the history of what's happened. Sure there's more I could know, and more I will learn. But virtually everything that's happened will be retrievable for historical scrutiny, my version or someone else's. When spring flowers hit full bloom in New England, my former girlfriend and her family will discover what happened. Thus, word will spread. Words spoken of honor. And just as I've given this wonderful woman flowers in the past, in the end honor will win; as seeds should be greedy only in nature.
