You are right, Carolyn .. it's awful quiet. I think we may have to be quite patient. WIND has too low a profile compared to Microsoft, and these CE announcements will take a while to blow over.

If we want the stock to surge ahead, we need some more publicity from some killer apps - like the Mars probe. Too bad there aren't "VxWorks Inside" stickers on a few key products to boost investor awareness. Few of the general public have heard of WRS and even fewer know that they have used or been affected by products using VxWorks (or any other RTOS for that matter).

I believe strongly that Microsoft is not the organization to produce the kind of product needed in critical real time applications, nor will it be able to provide the specialized technical support that developers need (and are used to from the better RTOS vendors).

Unfortunately I have seen comments in some of the technical newsgroups where people who should know better are resigning themselves to the possibility of having to use Windows CE in their next product to meet market expectations.

Hopefully we will continue to see steady consistent growth and that this will be recognized eventually by the marketplace.

I find this a very interesting and informative thread.
