Looked to me like these were straight shares, not options. But you make a good point - these are all guys to whom even these numbers are a small part of their holdings, if they needed to convert expiring options they might need to sell some stock to generate the equity basis for the conversion, that's usually cheaper than borrowing the base and repaying it in converted stock. No reason to think it's a fire sale, these guys probably don't need the cash for anything.
