In normal office or business habitats, I would whole-heartedly agree with you. When was the last time you were in a bingo hall? A bingo hall is one of the most hostile environments I've ever seen for computer equipment - dust, poor electrical, smoke, coffee, Cokes, ink, bingo players....

You are correct in that most bingo equipment does need little service, IF USED PROPERLY. I've seen light pens stir coffee, players purposely pour Cokes into equipment, players purposely destroy equipment. Also, just the fact that there may be 30 to 200 computers in any location almost suredly requires some service just because they're computers (Bill Gates can't even get his to work all the time!)

Anyway, the point of my post was that the quality of equipment in the entire fixed unit industry (excepting a couple small mom/pop operations) is very good.

BTW - the luck seemed to work today 3 of 4 went UP!!???
