Jim, The U.S. customs don't care if medication is brought in from Mexico without a Mexican Rx. The only risk is if one is stopped by a Texas trooper and the medicine is discovered. I think it is then a misdemeanor. I agree it's a strange law. If similar state laws have been written in Arizona and California, then I would suspect it originated in the pharmaceutical industry. The difference in costs of the same medication between the U.S. and Mexico can be quite impressive.
