My understanding of a "route" is that equipment is used one night at VFW, the next night at the Ladies Aux, the next night at Home for the Creation of Wayward Women, etc. What this does is allows a company to place equipment in halls where it wouldn't make economic sense before. For example if a hall only plays once or twice a week, the other five days generate no revenue. Now they will be able to place that same equipment somewhere else the other five days in the week. The benefit to the hall is increased revenue, which on 1 or 2 day a week halls becomes even more important. Hardrocker, Under the new rules, the hall would have to have a point of sale, master unit and communications capability that would stay on-site. The Texas Lottery Commission must be able to access, via modem, the system and files at any time. The actual player units will be allowed to be utilized at multiple locations. The target location will most likely be a multiple use facility, such as a church or lodge, that uses the space for dinners, dances, etc. The handheld player units will be picked up and delivered to the next facility and so forth. The key will be to get three or four locations in close proximity that play a cooperative schedule. It should be a good opportunity for all electronic bingo vendors. tgs59
