Peter,

I believe the Rydex Ursa and the Potomac U.S. and OTC Short Funds all try to achieve 1 for 1 inverse movement with the indices. They both have long funds that are leveraged. Rydex Nova - 150% of S&P 500, Potomac U.S. Plus Fund - 150% of the S&P 500, and the Potomac OTC Plus Fund - 125% of the Nasdaq 100. I believe the the Profunds Ultrabear is an inverse index fund that is leveraged. I haven't gotten a prospectus yet because they were out. I want to say they said 200% of the S&P. Don't hold me to it though. I will call them tomorrow and find out. Do you know ?

Here is a chart of all of them relative to the S&P:

Thanks,
WS

Peter,

I called Profunds today and they said they are trying to get 200% inverse movement with the S&P 500 in their UltraBear fund. 100% on their Bear fund. I haven't received the prospectus though. They are backordered. Does that mean the UltraBear fund would be worthless if the market goes up 50% ??? Sounds a little scary, but what a place to be in bear market.

Thanks,
WS
