My recollection has Cal Reed saying (last year) that the Korean plant would hopefully be constructed by this summer, but my understanding is that it would be a while after that before equipment was installed and tested. I may be wrong in that the installation of equipment will have been included with the summer construction, but I definitely got the impression that actual production would be sometime later, possibly like year-end? And this was before the Asian meltdown last fall, which by the way doesn't seem like that much of a meltdown after all, at least not yet. Anyway, my conclusion, and this is IMO only, based on memory from listening to a CC last year, that it is still too early to expect batteries from Korea at this time.

Since some of the high-capacity goo-processing equipment was diverted to Henderson, to be debugged according to LD, could it be that having been debugged it is being put to use making battery cells for Samsung until Hanil is up and running? Just a thought.
