all--

sorry about posting this so late, but i didnt have a chance earlier.

seems like some jackass from LU micro made comments today at the H&Q shindig about WSTL *not* having a relationship with LU, that LU micro only had a relationship with AWRE. this is true, LU is making their chips and that division is doing nada for WSTL since we dont need LUs DSPs.

this may partially explain the drop in stock price and the timing ( i do now think the ALA/3COM deal had something to do with it as well). however, we are still in a good position with LU since they arent reselling AWRE equipment NOR are they working to integrate AWRE equipment into switches and DLCs.

typical knee jerk reaction from the street. give a day or so to run its course. should be a retest of 10.5 tomorrow, then back up above 11, probably for the close. of course, this is MHO, and the morons could sell us off even more. someone needs to explain to the idoit VP at LU micro that he needs to keep his mouth shut. WSTL/LU have a chance against CSCO/Nortel, ALA/3COM and fujitsu. i give a AWRE/LU combo maybe a snowballs chance in hell.

if i was management at WSTL, i would seriously be looking at a closer relationship with fujitsu or nortel.

good luck to all,
trey
