Ascend Says Improved Asian Business Seen In 2nd Half PALO ALTO. Calif. (Dow Jones)--Ascend Communications Inc. (ASND) said it expects a rebound in its Asian sales during the second half of the year, market sources said. Speaking at the Hambrecht & Quist Technology Conference, Ascend officials said the better prospects come after weak sales from the region in recent quarters, the sources said.
